It also provides specialty auto products, including motorcycle, trailer, motor home, and off-road vehicle insurance policies; other personal lines products comprising renter, landlord, boat, umbrella, manufactured home insurance policies; roadside assistance products; and commercial products for small business owners, as well as insurance agency services. In addition, this segment participates in the involuntary or shared private passenger auto insurance business. The companys Allstate Financial segment offers traditional and variable life insurance; voluntary accident and health insurance products; deferred and immediate fixed annuities; and funding agreements backing medium-term notes. This segment markets its products through its agencies and financial specialists, workplace enrolling independent agents, and directly through call centers and the Internet. The Allstate Corporation was founded in 1931 and is headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois.
